The whole of Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 under your hand. The complete

official text — 180 recitals, 113 articles, 13 annexes — extracted from

EUR-Lex and structured, so it can be navigated by chapter and section,

searched by phrase, and read as the Act formats itself rather than as a

wall of scraped prose.

It comes two ways, over one library. In the browser it is the app above:

nine views across the same corpus — a dashboard of what the text contains,

the Act itself, its citation graph, mindmaps, a reference of timelines and

penalties, the classification ladder, step-by-step procedures, worked

cases and obligation checklists. Alongside them a natural-language view

where an assistant answers out of the Act through twenty tools that read

the real provisions, so an answer names the article it came from instead

of recalling it — and the stream shows every call it made to get there.

In the terminal it is the CLI and the TUI: search, article, tier,

checklist, classify, penalties and more, every command able to emit JSON,

plus an interactive session and a local assistant grounded in a ChromaDB

vector store rather than in model memory.

Fifty worked cases show it applied to real systems — a system, the tier it

lands in, and the reasoning, each claim anchored to a provision. It is a

compliance aid, not legal advice.

A command line and a TUI: The same corpus offline: eu-ai-act search / article / tier / checklist / classify, JSON on every command, and an interactive terminal session.
Yours to host: Point the server at any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. A public deployment closes the provider routes, so a visitor cannot repoint the model behind it.

1 · Get the code and run it

docker compose up --build

Builds two containers: the AG-UI server and the web client. The app answers on :3000 and the API on :8000. Nothing but Docker is needed.

2 · Put your own model behind it

Any OpenAI-compatible endpoint. host.docker.internal is already wired, so a local Ollama works with no change — but pick a model that actually calls tools, or the assistant will describe them instead of using them.

3 · Or mount it inside your own site

Serves the app under a path prefix of an existing site, proxies the API to the same origin so there is no CORS, drops the duplicate masthead, and closes the provider routes. That is the deployment this page is running.

4 · Make it public safely

NEXT_PUBLIC_EMBEDDED=1

PUBLIC_MODE closes the routes that read and WRITE the model provider; without it a visitor could repoint your inference at an endpoint of their choosing. EMBEDDED hides the operator-only settings the same way.

Command line and TUI

Clones the repository into ~/eu-ai-act-tool and syncs it with uv. Needs Python 3.9 or newer.

Python package

pip install git+https://github.com/mokmail/eu-ai-act-tool.git

Installs two commands: eu-ai-act for single queries, eu-ai-act-tui for the interactive session.
