how this site is written
AI disclosure
What the AI labels on this site mean, and which writing carries them.
What the marks mean
Two labels appear on this site. They use the European Commission's EU icons for labelling AI-generated content, used exactly as published.
The entire text was written by an AI system and published without human editorial review. Every tutorial here carries this mark: they are written and published by scheduled jobs, and no one reads them before they go live.
AI wrote the text, and a person then reviewed and edited it and carries editorial responsibility for what you are reading. The articles and courses carry this mark.
Which content carries which
- Tutorials. Written and published by scheduled jobs with no review step — the AI GENERATED mark, and a small version of it on the cards in the listings, so you meet the label before you meet the page.
- Articles and courses. Written with AI as a first draft, then reviewed and edited by Mohammed Kmail, who holds editorial responsibility — the round AI mark with that statement next to it.
- Images. The featured image at the top of an article is an AI-generated illustration and carries the mark on the picture. Photographs of real people, places and objects are not AI-generated.
Where the labels come from
Article 50(4) of the EU AI Act requires deployers of generative AI to disclose AI-generated or manipulated content in two cases: deepfakes, and AI-generated text published to inform the public on matters of public interest that had no human review. The Commission publishes these icons so the disclosure is recognisable instead of invented per site.
That obligation would not cover the reviewed articles here. They are labelled anyway — a reader should not have to work out which writing had a person in the loop.
What a label is not
- The labels are a disclosure, not a claim about quality. The tutorials are tested before they are published; a label says how the text was made, not how well.
- The featured images on the articles are AI-generated illustrations, generated for the article. The photographs of real people, places and objects on this site are not AI-generated.
Questions
If a label looks wrong on a page — a tutorial that was in fact reviewed, an article that was not — say so on the contact page. The label is a claim about how the text was made, and a wrong claim should be corrected quickly.
